The first resolution taken at the convention was to declare the house of Field Marshal Cariappa at Shanivarasanthe as a memorial structure. The resolution pointed out that former Chief Minister J H Patel had announced a decision to maintain the house as a memorial structure in 1992 while adddressing at the Cariappa birth centinary programme. However, no initiatives were taken so far even after 18 years in this direction.

In the second resolution, the convention has decided to urge the government to construct a Rangamandira at Shanivarasanthe, which is the border of Hassan district, to promote Kannada literature and culture in the region.

The third resolution was to urge the district administration to take necessary steps for the construction of Kodagu Jilla Samuchaya Bhavana at Madikeri immediately. The government had already released Rs 1.5 crore for the purpose. However, the district adminsitration is not successful in identifying land even after three years. Hence, the convention resolved to put pressure on the district administration to expedite the process. The fourth resolution passed in the convention was to urge the government to supply adequate power supply to the district. The power consumption in the district is very less compared to other districts. Moreover, people of Kodagu are prompt in payment of electricity bills too. The KPTCL officials too had assured that there will be no power cuts in the district. Hence, the state
government should ensure required power supply to the district. Kodagu District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President T P Ramesh presided the convention.
