Blink took control of proceedings about a hundred metres from the straight, breaking out from a tight pack to move into a healthy lead. Soberano made a late surge from the back, but Narredu did just enough to hold off the Vinod Shinde-ridden horse. Huge favourite Bourbon Bay disappointed by finishing third.
