No room for irregularities in Ashraya scheme: MLA

Ashraya houses were allotted to ineligible in Seethi Gram Panchayat limits. The authorities concerned have been warned of serious consequences in case of violation of guidelines in future, the MLA said after launching work in Seethi village of the taluk on Friday.

“Legislator’s grants and Ashraya Samiti directly come under me. However, few people are misguiding voters giving false assurances. Public should be cautious of such attempts,” he said. He suggested people of the village to stay together when it comes to development. The legislator also cautioned of initiating disciplinary action against anyone found guilty of irregularity in Ashraya scheme.

Gram Panchayat president Narasimhappa, Begli Suryaprakash, Vakkaleri Ramu and others were present on the occasion.
