First time robbery

A man who tried his hand in robbery for the first time, single-handedly, was arrested by the police, in Arsikere, recently. The police have arrested Jainuddin, who had burgled a house at Pumphouse in Belur. Jainuddin, a resident of Belur, had worked in several places in the town and later worked at a hotel in Bengaluru.

He had returned to his native recently and had taken to robbery for making quick money. According to police, Jainuddin monitored the houses, where the residents used to keep the key under a flower pot, before leaving and robbed one of them. He used the key to open the door and escaped with 150 gm gold jewels, a mobile tab and others worth Rs 5 lakh. All the articles have been recovered.

The burglars had pledged some of the articles with private pawn brokers and a probe is on in this regard.
