Woven around the theme, 'Protecting Mother Earth', most of the events were either directly pegged on this concept or indirectly related to it. There were more than 250 participants spread across 12 events over two days.

The first day was restricted to just events such as team building, six sigma, best manager, business quiz, finance event and marketing strategies. While best manager was targeted at discovering an efficient manager who would be competent enough to handle pressures of any order. Finance events were based on how one could overcome financial crunches and transform it into more productive situations. The marketing and the HR competitions focussed on grooming future managers and resource personnel who could facilitate progress and development in the country. "Each of the events gave us a practical insight into what we study off our textbooks. The atmosphere has been so competitive that I was forced to get into that competitive groove,” says Monica, a first year management student of MCIM.

The second day saw some exceptional performances by students of MCIM, Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIMS) and St Joseph’s College. The well-choreographed fashion show had the best of garments provided by Priya Simrans. That the saree could be worn in more ways than one was the highlight of the show.

Among the dances was a performance by Ruhi and Monica both students of MCIM. They chose to blend Kathak and Western dance to the tune of a song from Love Aaj Kal and the popular Chamma Chamma. The team of six dancers from RIMS chose to mix all the dances forms including Punjabi and break dance as well. “We wanted to merge comedy, drama and love in our performance,” said Bulbul Chaturvedi. Madonna Louis, a second year MBA student of St Joseph's College got her team to dress in five different colours — black, blue, pink, red and purple. “We wanted both elements of mass and class in our performance. Since the theme was global warming, each colour signifies a particular thing,” explained Madonna.
