Bengaluru in-charge Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Thursday said five ministers from Bengaluru cannot be held responsible if the Congress failed to perform well in the BBMP elections.
“Ministers should be responsible for the results in their assembly constituencies and not the entire Bengaluru. How can the ministers be held responsible if the candidates are not capable?” he stated in reply to a question whether the ministers should be held responsible for the poll outcome. The question of holding anybody responsibility will not arise as the party is set to emerge victorious. People are fed up with the misrule of the BJP in the BBMP. The State government has tried to set right the system in the last two years, he added. He denied that the polls will be a referendum on the performance of the State government.
