Lending his voice to the theme song in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster’, Vipin Anneja marked his entry into Bollywood.

The Delhi-based singer forayed into the world of singing with his debut album ‘Teri Payal’ which was a rhythmic fusion of Arabic, folk and ‘ghazal’.

Anneja recently launched his single album titled ‘Mureed’, penned and composed by Manan Bhardwaj. Talking about his latest venture, he says, “‘Mureed’ is the most passionate love song I’ve ever sung. The word ‘Mureed’ means devotee — devotee of a lover or devotee of the divine. The song has an appeal that connected me to it. After listening to what Manan had to offer with this song, within half-an-hour, to be precise, we finished the recording. It was a great experience being a part of this song.”

Being a part of the music
arena for more than a decade  Vipin says, “I’ve been singing professionally for the last 15 years now, but I still feel like a beginner. But this is what musical journey is all about. Just when you think you’ve endured everything, you get to learn something new. You feel completely fresh on board.”

Vipin has done over 600 live shows across the globe. But the singer was away from the limelight for quite a while. “There was a lot of hard work, which I don’t call “struggle”. I have never looked at this as a struggle. I call it my journey and my journey is on,” he says.

The vocalist, who is now gearing up to sing for Amisha Patel’s production ‘Desi Magic’ followed by a couple of singles, advises the newbies, “Just follow your heart and go for it. In the end, it is only perseverance that makes it happen. Believe in yourself because if you don’t, no one else will,” he concludes.
