It's a disabled-friendly court complex

A part of the under-construction Law Court’s complex, inaugurated by Chief Minister 
Siddaramaiah on Saturday, is also specially abled-friendly.

A dedicated waiting room for the benefit of specially-abled persons has been built on the ground floor of the four-storeyed building. Besides, equal care has been taken to provide facilities for all those related with judiciary — accused, witnesses among others.

According to the list of facilities available, the works completed at an estimated cost of Rs 20.85 crore, includes cellar, ground floor and first floor. The ground and first floors house three court halls each. Maximum facilities are created on the ground floor, that includes three each judge rooms and record and property rooms, two accounts sections, followed by one rooms each for bar council, women judges, library and service centre, waiting rooms for women, accused and also witnesses and process branch. Two rooms are reserved for bank and post office. On the remaining three floors, works are taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 37 crore and are expected to complete within the deadline of September 28, 2016. Nine court halls will be built, taking the total number of court halls to 15.
