JOIN USA tractor driver ran a five-year-old boy over while reversing the vehicle in Kodigehalli on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased, Sharanu, lived with his parents in a makeshift shed on a vacant plot belonging to Lakshmipathy. Narasimha, the child’s father is a construction labourer. They hail from Mahabubnagar in Telangana.
On Wednesday around 5 pm, Sharanu was playing outside the shed. Balaji, who usually parks his tractor on the vacant plot, was reversing the vehicle and did not notice Sharanu and ran him over, said the police.
Hearing a scream, the parents rushed out to find their son lying in a pool of blood. They alerted the land owner and summoned an ambulance.
The boy was shifted to Bowring Hospital where he was declared brought-dead, said the police.
The parents have lodged a complaint against Balaji at KR Puram police station.
