Epsilon, the global leader in creating connections between people and brands, has announced its gameplan to start an engineering centre in Bengaluru to come up with innovative products and solutions.

Interacting with Deccan Herald, Epsilon Senior Vice President for Shared Services Neil Walsh said the company is undergoing dramatic changes with the advent of global digitisation.

“We find an explosion of data throughout the globe. This gives us a huge opportunity to provide connectivity and infrastructure outsourcing solutions to communications, applications, content, and cloud service providers globally. The engineering talent in the country can help us to expand the leads,” he said.

The company will have an engineering team of 1000 members by the end of next year to cater to the demands of clients. Walsh said the company has the network infrastructure, intelligence, and expertise to deliver connectivity and communications services that support customer success.

On hiring strategy, he said the company will hire  more than1,000 engineers over a three-year period.

“The company is giving primacy to programmers in technologies like .NET, Hadoop, Oracle, and Adobe as we see an increasing intersection of technology and conventional marketing,” he said.

Epsilon began its operations in Bengaluru with a 100-strong team. He said the company is finding this opportunity to bring its global best practices to employees working here and invest more in increasing the talent pool.

Walsh said the Bengaluru centre will provide services to its clients in the APAC region and also support its global clients such as Citi and Dell. “We are focusing on combining data, analytics, creativity and technology, to create marketing campaigns globally for our clients,” he said.
