Kejri invites ideas on smart city

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced during an interactive session with residents and traders of NDMC area that their territory will receive one million gallons of water in addition to the existing supply from Delhi Jal Board.

Kejriwal met resident welfare associations (RWAs) and market associations to invite suggestions for smart city proposals for the council area. Responding to residents’ grievances he said the residents will also receive free 40 units of electricity soon. He also directed the NDMC to check if the CCTV cameras are functional.

The council will also organise an essay competition on ‘smart city idea solution.’ The best contestant will get cash prize of Rs 25,000.

The NDMC has come up with a 10-point programme to achieve the smart city mission programme. This includes smart hospitals & dispensaries through e-Hospital portal, smart schools, smart grid of energy, round-the-clock water supply, CCTV surveillance system and last mile connectivity by electric buses from Metro to offices in NDMC area.
