Deepak Nangia, heading Satyam’s operations in Australia, has resigned, latest to quit the organisation.
The embattled IT firm had confirmed the development, saying that Nangia had resigned to “pursue better opportunities outside the company.”
Venki Prathivadi, who was second in line to Nangia and has been associated with the firm for the last seven years, would now head the Australian operations, a person close to the development said.
Venki was handling one of the biggest clients of Satyam in Australia.
However, he clarified that Nangia had put in his papers two months ago when there were uncertainty looming over the future of the IT firm.
“We have not seen exits at the top level after the take over of Satyam by Tech Mahindra...the employees who have left had put in their papers before the acquisition of the firm,” he added.

Many senior executives have left the firm, including the head of Satyam’s Asia-Pacific unit, Virender Agarwal.
Meanwhile, Satyam Computer spokesperson Archana Muthappa has resigned from the company, according to sources. When asked she confirmed the development, saying she has put in her papers two days ago. Muthappa had handled media relations in Satyam Computer during the period when the company plunged into crisis following the admission of financial fraud by its founder Ramalinga Raju.
