German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in a special Luftwaffe aircraft at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Monday night on an official visit.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah received the visiting dignitary by presenting her a shawl and a bouquet. Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee, Director General and Inspector General of Police Omprakash, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner N S Megharik and top officials from German embassy were present.
Merkel is scheduled to visit Bosch factory at Adugodi and take part in a Nasscom event at Hotel Leela Palace on Tuesday. She will be sharing the dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at both the events.
