Jewellery retail chain ORRA on Thursday launched its third retail store in the city. Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy inaugurated the store at Koramangala. Vijay Jain, CEO and Director of ORRA, said the cosmopolitan city has the potential for five stores and that in future two more stores would be launched.

“Our other stores are located at Dickenson Road and Jayanagar. When it comes to jewellery, Bengalureans are one of the most cosmopolitans in their tastes and our exquisite range of jewellery is not just contemporary, but also innovative,” he said.

He added that proximity of the store plays a major role and that the new store is spread across 2,200 sq ft area in Koramangala.

Talking about online sales that ORRA started very recently, Jain said ORRA transformed its website from just a corporate site to an eCommerce site. “Online is the largest driver of sales. People get digitally influenced and some check designs online and then visit stores to purchase the same,” he said. On Diwali sales, Jain said ORRA saw a 12 per cent rise in the Deepavali season.

“We are looking to achieve double-digit growth and it has been a good year for ORRA, which has 35 exclusive boutiques across 25 cities,” he said. The retail chain has five global design centres in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Antwerp, Mumbai, and New York.

At the inauguration, India’s top models like Candice Pinto and Archana Kumar showcased a melange of diamond, solitaire, gold, and platinum jewellery. ORRA’s Umrao Collection, a range of diamond and gold jewellery inspired by the royalty of India, was also displayed on the occasion.
