The wild West

Tex-Mex journey
Last Updated 20 November 2015, 18:35 IST

Set in the cosy, rustic atmosphere of Vasanthnagar, ‘Millers 46’ is one of the oldest wild-West themed steak houses in the City. Everything, from their furniture to the paintings, menu and waiters, who adorn cowboy suits, is on par with the theme. Even the walk-up to the restaurant is decorated with rustic wooden designs and horse saddles. Bengalureans bustle in throughout the week to enjoy their classic barbecue-styled dishes.

This non-vegetarian’s paradise is popular for their fine steaks, sizzlers, pastas, salads, Tex-Mex food, grilled fish, roasted spuds, bakes, burgers and club sandwiches. They do have options for vegetarians, but it’s limited. One of their must-have dishes is the ‘46ers chicken wings’ that can be customised to one’s spice level. Also popular is their ‘Spinach and jalapeño poppers’. On to the main course, one can choose from a selection of burgers and sandwiches, rice-based dishes, pasta, beef steaks, and other meats.

Whether you order one from the chicken, beef or seafood section, you can choose either a normal plate or a sizzler. Some of the dishes that are a must-try are ‘Big boy Texas T-Bone steak’, ‘Garlic and pepper steak’, ‘Beef lasagna’, ‘Scramble steak burritos’, ‘Jamaican pepper steak’, ‘Spicy deviled chicken’, ‘Grilled pomfret’ and ‘Seafood pasta’. The restaurant also offers pork dishes like ‘Jamaican jerk pork chops’, ‘Grilled ham steak’, ‘Grilled spicy pork sausages’ and more. To wash down the heavy meal, one can choose from their array of mocktails and cocktails that are made in-house. The restaurant is located at 46 Millers Road, near Cunningham Road, Vasanthnagar.
