JOIN USTop seed Prerna Bhambri stayed on course for a hat-trick of titles as she coasted into the final of the RGUHS ITF Kalaburagi Open here on Friday.
In the middle of a fine run, Prerna was simply too good for Tamachan Momkoonthod, outclassing the Thailand player 6-1, 6-2.
In the final on Saturday, Prerna will take on Natasha Palha after the second seed packed off seventh seed Eetee Maheta 6-1, 6-3 in the other semifinal.
Karman Kaur Thandi and Druthi Tatachar Venugopal pocketed the doubles title after prevailing in a tense encounter. The fourth seeds outlasted the second-seeded duo of Nidhi Chilumula and Eetee Maheta 6-4, 6-7 (5), 10-7.
The Karman-Druthi pair claimed the KUDA ITF title at the same stadium last week and with this win have added 12 more points to their kitty and shared $637 between them.
