Vendor booked for 'abusing' officials

A complaint was lodged against a roadside vendor for allegedly abusing Mysuru City Corporation officials, on Wednesday.

Puttaraju, a resident of Muneshwara Nagar, is the accused. A team of officials, led by Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner C G Betsurmath, was inspecting the civil works near the now defunct Lansdowne Building, opposite the city bus stand, it was noticed that roadside vendors had encroached upon footpaths, inconveniencing pedestrians. 

When the vendors were questioned, Puttaraju who felt irked, abused the officials. A Mysuru City Corporation official has lodged a complaint at Devaraja police station.
