Deccan Herald and Prajavani in association with Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is organising a painting competition during the 13th annual ‘Chitra Santhe’, which will be held on January 3 on Kumara Krupa Road.

There will be three categories — a junior category for ages of five and 11, a senior category, for those aged between 12 and 17 years, and an adults category for those 18 years and above.

The registration for the painting competition will start from 9.30 am onwards. Drawing sheets will be provided but all other materials required should be carried by the participants.

The theme for the painting competition will be announced on the spot. Results will be announced on the same day at 4 pm.

There will also be a slot for face painting, which is for all age groups. The registrations will open at 10.30 am.

There will be a workshop and live demonstration of art and craft at the Deccan Herald and Prajavani counter, inside the art school premises as well.

All the winners of the competition will get attractive prizes and certificates. For details, call 25880199/219.
