JOIN USThe policeman involved in molesting a women at the state-sponsored Kankaria festival in Ahmedabad last week was finally arrested on Monday.
Constable Ramsinh Parmar was caught after six-days of work. “We have arrested him and will suspend him. Gujarat cannot tolerate such kind of incident, leave alone by a policeman. We have booked him under outraging modesty of women and shall be booking him under all relevant sections of the law. He shall not go unpunished,” Manoj Shashidhar, IGP, Ahmedabad range, told Deccan Herald.
A videoclip of a policeman walking around at the carnival groping women went viral on social media. The festival is attended by nearly 2.5 million people.
The task was challenging for the police to nab the culprit as one could only see his back and despite innumerable CCTV cameras installed at the venue, his face was not visible.
