Karnataka becoming safe den for ultras, says Joshi

Last Updated 25 January 2016, 19:51 IST

State BJP president Pralhad Joshi said on Monday that the State had become a safe hideout for terrorists and anti-national elements.

Addressing mediapersons here, he expressed concern that most of the suspected terrorists arrested recently were from the State. Joshi said that the State government was not doing anything to flush out people with a terror agenda.

Referring to the statement by chief minister’s press secretary Dinesh Ameen Mattu that only persons belonging to the minority community were being nabbed, he said that the statement was highly condemnable and supported terrorist activities in which people of a certain community were found involved. He said that it was highly irresponsible on the part of Mattu to make such a dangerous statement.

He demanded that suitable action be initiated against Mattu for his “insensible utterances” and that he be arrested for his “provocative statement”.
