55-year-old cleaner hangs himself inside bus

A 55-year-old bus cleaner was found hanging inside a private bus in Upparpete police limits on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Yellappa, a native of Bagalkot.

On Tuesday, a mechanic at the bus depot found Yellappa hanging inside a private bus, that was parked at the depot near Kempegowda bus stand. He alerted the police, who shifted the body for post-mortem.

“The bus in which he committed suicide was seized by the RTO officials and was parked in the depot for over a couple of months. It is suspected that Yellappa might have committed suicide on Monday night. However the reason for his death is yet to be ascertained,” the police added. A case has been registered at Upparpet police station.
