Panel clears four major projects

The State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday cleared four major projects with investment proposals totalling Rs 2,957 crore including one by Velankani Electronics Private Limited for manufacturing electronic goods.

According to an official release, Velankani Electronics Private Limited has proposed to expand its plant at Electronics City Phase 2 at a cost of Rs 1,130 crore.

Other projects cleared on Monday include expansion of Intel Technology India’s computer software development services plant in Bengaluru at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore and expansion plans of Hical Technologies Private Limited at Electronic City at a cost of Rs 16.26 crore.

Later in the evening, Single Window Clearance Cell (which deals projects worth below Rs 100 crore) chaired by IT Minister S R Patil cleared five IT projects with investment of Rs 139 crore, the release stated.
