A 16-year-old boy was detained by the Parappana Agrahara police for sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl. The police said the boy, a Class 10 student in a private school, had been sent to Bala Mandira, a rehabilitation centre.
The boy, on the pretext of buying her toffees, took the girl, a first standard student, to his house and sexually assaulted her. A few days later, the victim complained of fever and stomachache. When her parents questioned her, she narrated the incident. She also said she was threatened and warned against revealing the incident to anyone.
The parents of the victim and the boy are relatives and work as construction labourers. On Friday evening, the victim’s mother lodged a complaint against the boy, said the police. DH News Service
