Strengthen party at grassroots, Congress cadres told

 A large number of workers should participate in the event and make the programme a grand success, informed President of the District Congress Committee M Anjenappa.

He was presiding over the preliminary meeting organised to chalk out the preparations for the meet in the City on Tuesday. The meet was being held for the first time, after the carving of the district and hence, there should not be room for any differences. All the workers should be taken into confidence, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, district unit president of the SC/ST cell N Subbarayappa said, the party needs to be strengthened in the rural areas. The party should reciprocate to the problems of the SC/ST people, he added.

CMC president M Prakash said that GP polls will be soon announced and efforts should be made to ensure that the party won most of the seats and make its presence felt in the district, he added. ZP member A D Avulappa and others were present on the occasion.
