Sandalwood actor Chetan Chandra likes to keep himself busy at all times. If he is not at the shooting locale, he’ll be at his workout sessions or dance classes. With the shoot of ‘Samyuktha 2’, soon to begin, the actor is excited and says that there is so much more he wants to explore as an artiste.

“I signed this movie after listening to many scripts. This project is of a different genre, a combination of thriller, suspense and horror,” informs Chetan. Directed by Abhiraam and produced by Sanjay, it will be noticed for its unusual concept, according to the actor.

“I signed the project a few weeks back and the shoot will commence soon. The rehearsals are on and I’m looking forward to immerse myself in the project,” he says. The actor will be seen playing a medical student in the film. “The suspense lies in whether the character is really a medical student or not. If he isn’t, then why he is in the medical college? The movie explains all that,” says Chetan.

The film will be shot in different parts of the Bangalore University campus and near the ‘Bhoot Bungalow’ in Tavarekere . On what convinced him to take the role up, he says, “It is the screenplay! It’s a complete script and there seems to be nothing missing in the story. When the screenplay is really strong, it is easy for an actor to play his role,” he says.

When it comes to the first look of the movie, Chetan’s face isn’t clearly visible. “The photo shoot is consciously done like that and the movie is also like that. This is to symbolise the different shades of the characters I will be playing. I will be portraying three roles and it will be a challenging project,” he details. The movie will also see stars Devaraj and Tabala Nani. “It is a great honour to work with them,” he says.

Apart from his work, Chetan says that it’s only when he isn’t shooting that he gets to concentrate on his workouts and dance schedules. “When I am on the sets, I am free after the shoot is over. But it’s when I am preparing myself for the role and my look that I am busy from morning to night. The practice off the set is more hectic than acting.”

‘Samyuktha 2’ has action sequences and requires him to be completely fit. “I am getting ready for that. There will also be a dance number in the movie, hence I am concentrating on the dance schedule too,” he smiles.

“From the very beginning, I have always tried to take up unique projects. I’m excited about doing things I have never done and I want the audience to see the artiste in me,” he says.
