KSET results declared; 3,338 declared eligible

 As many as 3,338 candidates have passed the Karnataka State Eligibility Test-2015 (KSET), the qualifying examination for recruiting assistant professors or lecturers in the State. A total of 65,849 candidates had appeared for the third KSET conducted by the University of Mysore (UoM)on December 6, 2015.

Addressing reporters here on Saturday, UoM Vice Chancellor K S Rangappa said that 65,849 candidates had appeared for the test which was held in 32 subjects at 11 nodal centres across the State.

A total of 82,458 candidates had enrolled themselves for the test.
Rangappa said that around 17,990 examinees were able to secure minimum cut-off marks prescribed for each paper.

The top 15% students in each subject had been declared eligible. They will receive the KSET eligibility certificate, which will have lifetime validity, the VC added.

The results are uploaded on uploaded on www. kset.uni-mysore.ac.in.
The KSET Centre at UoM is a nodal agency recognised by the University Grants
Commission for conducting KSET.

Rangappa said that the varsity would approach UGC seeking permanent status for the nodal centre.
