All the seven members were absent at the Madikeri taluk Kodava Bhashika Samskrithika Mela held on February 15 and started making series of allegations against Academy President Rani Machaiah.

The members had alleged that the President did not invite dignitaries from other Kodava speaking community and had invited only Kodava Keri and Kodava Samaja Presidents. “There is no value for the opinion of the members,” they had alleged.

In this background, MLA Appacchuranjan had convened a meeting and all the members join hands by forgetting their differences of opinion. MLA called upon the members to forget the difference and work towards the development of Kodava culture and tradition.

“There is a need to organise programmes by taking into confidence of all its members. All must work together to increase the richness of the culture and literature,” he said.

The MLA said that the decision on chief guests must be taken only after discussing it in the Standing Committee meeting. Representation should be given to all the Kodava speaking communities . Rani Machaiah, Standing Committee members Ranu Appanna, Sara Changappa, Vittal Belliappa, Prabhu Kaveriappa, members C N Somesh, Prabhukumar, Sabitha Kariappa, Kavan Kariappa, Beenanda Poonaccham Vadapada Ayyappa, Kalachanda Palangappa and Registrar Vinodchandra were present.
