Digvijaya may be relieved of Karnataka Cong charge

 State Congress president G Parameshwara on Friday hinted at the possibility of the party high command appointing a new AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka in place of Digvijaya Singh.

The high command has begun consultations on revamping the AICC and the pradesh Congress committees, including the KPCC. If it is done, there is a likelihood of a change of the in-charge general secretaries, he said, when reporters sought his reaction to Madhugiri Congress MLA K N Rajanna's demand for a new AICC general secretary for Karnataka.

Asked about a meeting held by a group of party MLAs demanding ministerial berths recently, Parameshwara said he was aware of the meeting, but had no clue about their agenda. But he evaded a question on whether he was planning to take action against them.
