Last Updated 12 April 2016, 20:00 IST

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa is now keen on creating a platform to bring back leaders who have left the party fold.

“The doors of the BJP are open to any person who shares the party ideology, including the reinduction of those who have previously quit the party. We will take a final call on the issue after discussions with the district units,” Yeddyurappa, who himself is a re-entrant to the BJP, told reporters in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

He said former BJP members V Dhananjay Kumar, Basavaraj Patil Yatnal, Kota Srinivasa Poojary had shown inclination to rejoin the party. “I will speak to the district unit leaders in this regard,” Yeddyurappa said.

Dhananjay Kumar, who called on Yeddyurappa at the latter’s residence in Bengaluru, said he would like to work for the party and was keen on being reinducted into the BJP.
