Three held in theft case, valuables recovered

The South Division police have arrested three persons in a theft case and recovered gold ornaments, silver ornaments and a car worth Rs 45 lakh.

The arrested are: Kommaghatta Manjunath, a resident of Kengeri, Manikanta, a resident of Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu and Ganesh Bera, a pawn broker.

There are around 50 theft cases against Manjunath and he was arrested by the Sampigehalli police a few days ago. He was out on bail, police said. He met Manikanta in the prison and the two decided to commit thefts after Manikanta came out of prison. They would identify posh houses and commit thefts during the night.
