<div>The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will start the process for online submission of applications for the second edition of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-II) from Thursday.<br /><br />“The CBSE will start the process of online application for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-II (UG), 2016 from May 26 for admission in MBBS/BDS courses,” the board said on Wednesday evening.<br /><br />Students can submit online application for the test on the official website www.aipmt.nic.in. The nationwide test will be held for admissions to the All India quota seats, private/ management/NRI quota seats in all private medical and dental colleges, or any other private or deemed university, it said.<br /><br />The test will also be held for admissions to state government quota seats “where the government of the state concerned so opts,” it added.<br /><br />The NEET-II will be held on July 24 as per the directives of the Supreme Court and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central government on May 24.<br /><br />As per the directives of the Supreme Court, candidates who could not register in the All-India Pre Medical and Dental Test/NEET-I, held earlier this year, can apply NEET-II also, the CBSE said.<br /><br />AIMPT candidates<br />Candidates who registered for the AIMPT, but did not appear in the nationwide test can also apply for NEET-II.<br /><br />“Candidates who were registered in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I and had appeared, but have apprehension that they had not prepared well subject to submission of an undertaking to give up their candidature for NEET-I can apply in NEET-II,” it added.<br /><br />The board said students can access the detailed information on the NEET-II including syllabus and eligibility criteria on website www.aipmt.nic.in.<br /></div>
