Mithali scripts India's series win

Jhulan Goswami and Preeti Dimri scalped three wickets apiece as the hosts restricted England to a paltry 152 for nine. Mithali then scored an attractive stroke-filled 84 as India scaled down the target with consumnate ease in 44.4 overs.

For the second game in a row Indian bowlers bowled well as England struggled to put up a substantial total. India lost an early wicket, five for one, but Mithali held her nerves and played some wonderful strokes despite wickets falling at regular intervals at the other end.

Mithali brought up her half-century in 77 balls exactly at the mid way stage of the game. Mithali also shared crucial fourth and fifth wicket partnerships with Rumeli Dhar and Amita Sharma respectively.

Earlier, Charlotte Edwards cracked an unbeaten 57 in England’s dismal batting performance. While Jhulan picked 3/34, Preeti was far more economical, costing just 18 runs from 10 overs for her three scalps.
