Rs 4.99 crore for water in Gauribidanur

Speaking to reporters at Inspection Bungalow here on Sunday, he said that the work on a project to ensure water supply to the town is in progress.

Responding to the complaints on delay in issuing income certificate to the students, the minister said that he would convince the Education Minister to put in place a system wherein the college authorities could obtain certificates directly from the officers concerned.

Welfare of minorities

Revealing that the government has released a sum of Rs 186 crore for the uplift of minorities in the State, the minister said that a dining hall would be constructed at a cost of Rs 16 lakh and a marriage hall at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in D Palya village. He expressed concern over the “failure” of taluk administration in reaching out benefits of welfare schemes to the public.  A meeting will be organised in the town on June 20 to hear public grievances, the minister said.

BJP leader Ramesh Rao Shilke, Ananda Theertha, Dayananda and others were present.
