JOIN USA 23-year-old student died in a road accident after a school bus hit his bike near Bellahalli Main Road near Yelahanka on Wednesday noon.
The police said the deceased has been identified as Mohammed Shan, a native of Kerala and a resident of Kogilu. He was studying MBA in a private college. Around 3.40 pm, Shan was going on his two-wheeler near his house. Driver Shivakumar of a bus belonging to Euro School was on his way to drop the children to their houses.
Shivakumar was overspeeding and hit Shan's bike from the rear. Shan fell down and suffered severe injuries. The public alerted the Yelahanka traffic police, who shifted him to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead, the police added.
The police arrested Shivakumar and seized the bus. Arrangements were made to send the children to their houses. No one in the bus was injured.
