Three persons were killed and one was injured in separate road accidents in Electronics City and Devanahalli on Saturday night.

Police said two people were killed after they rammed their bike into a stationary canter vehicle on the Electronics City elevated flyover around 7.30 pm. The victims are as Prashanth, 23 and his uncle Muniyappa, 45, both residents of Adugodi.

Prashanth was working as a mechanic in a car showroom. They were returning to the city after visiting their relatives in Tamil Nadu. Due to bad light, Prashanth failed to notice a stationary canter vehicle parked on the right side of the road and rammed into it. The two were killed on the spot.

Passersby alerted the Electronics City traffic police, who shifted the bodies to a hospital for post-mortem. The canter driver had parked the vehicle on the highway without placing an indicator. Police are on the lookout for him.

In the other incident, a 55-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding bike near Kannamangala Gate near Devanahalli. The victim, Muniyappa, was a labourer and a resident of Kannamangala village. Bike rider Raghu failed to notice Muniyappa and knocked him down.

Muniyappa's head hit the corner of the pavement and he suffered head injuries. Raghu, who fell off his bike, too was injuried. Passersby informed the Devanahalli traffic police, who shifted the duo to a hospital. Muniyappa was declared brought dead, police said.
