How does it feel to be Mister United Continents 2016?

It feels good to be a winner; however I don’t intend to bask in the laurel as I still have miles to go and accomplish much more. It feels good to bring laurels for the country on the international stage. This contest has given me international exposure and has boosted my confidence level.

How did you get into modelling?
Modelling is my passion and I always wanted to be a model. However, my family was more inclined towards education and wanted me to do well in academics. To fulfill their dream, I did engineering. But I was not satisfied with that. So side by side, I started preparing myself for modeling, around two years ago. It was only after I read about Rubaru Mister India 2016 auditions on Facebook and went for the auditions. I got selected and later on won the contest. This is how my journey in modelling started.
How has your journey been?
It has been a great journey so far. In a short span of time, I have won Mr India and Mr United Continent title. I had never been on the runway or under the spotlight before entering the Rubaru Mister India Contest. So, for me it has really been a fascinating journey.

You are also working as an engineer. How do you manage time between work and modelling?
I am currently working as a senior manager in the R&D department of Havells India Limited. It took a great deal of commitment and discipline to pursue work and personal ambition, simultaneously. I did my task with full compassion and perseverance. Also, my colleagues were an amazing support system. I am grateful to all who supported me in my endeavor and helped me in maintaining a perfect balance between my work and preparation for the contest.

Are you aiming at Bollywood next?
Yes, Bollywood is my ultimate destination and I have been preparing myself for an eventual career in acting. All this hard work and concentration is towards achieving that goal. I am pretty confident to be there in the next three years. I would like to be a versatile actor and would love to challenge myself to do better. I am open to playing all kinds of challenging role if backed by a solid script.
