<div>An 80-year-old man was killed and his 30-year-old granddaughter was injured after a private bus hit a bike on the elevated flyover in Peenya on Monday night. <br /><br />The victims were Venkataramappa and Gayathri, both residents of Bidarakal. The two were returning from Yeshwantpur when the accident occurred around <br />8 pm. <br /><br />Venkataramappa fell down after the bus hit the bike from behind. He was rushed to a nearby hospital as he had sustained massive head injuries. However, he was declared dead on arrival, said the police. <br /><br />Gayathri is being treated at the hospital. She is stated to be out of danger. The bus driver abandoned the bus and fled the spot, added the police.<br /><br />Hit-and-run accident<br /><br />An unidentified man was killed on the spot in a hit-and-run case at KR Puram. The deceased is aged around 35 years. The accident occurred past midnight on Sunday near Bhagini Residency on Bhattarahalli-Hoskote Road. The driver fled the spot with the vehicle after the accident. The police shifted the body to Bowring Hospital.<br /><br />In another incident, an elderly man was killed on the spot after a car hit him while he was crossing the road at Singasandra on Hosur Road. <br /><br />The victim was aged around 60 years and the body was shifted to St Johns Hospital.
