JOIN USBFlat, Indiranagar will present a performance by ‘Clown With A Frown’, a pop/funk rock band based in the city, on September 24, 9 pm onwards.
They have set out to redefine dance music by revolutionising sounds from the 70s disco era and are known for their groovy bass lines, simple upbeat rhythms backed by powerful horns and soulful vocals, all combined into a power-packed, high energy act.
The band’s sound is predominantly a mix of jazz, funk, fusion, RnB, soul, reggae and disco styles blended into a modern pop.
Among their primary influences are the music of Chic, Jamiroquai, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Steely Dan and Tower of Power.
The band will feature Keerthana Sudarshan on vocals, Jonathan Reuben on guitar, Pradyun Manoj on keyboard, Aashish Paul on bass and Pramod Pratap on drums.
The early set will be a pop and pop rock mix by senior keyboardist Jason Zach and talented young and upcoming crooner Keto (aka Keertana Bhoopal), who has just relocated from Singapore (where she studied music) to Bengaluru.
