Minister opens 'Bharathiya Vidya' programme in School

Speaking on the occasion, he said government has given priority to the education sector besides initiating changes in all the fields during the first year of its governance.

Public are happy with the BJP administration in the State and the Lok Sabha poll results in the State is the verdict of the public support, he added.

He called upon the students to make use of the programmes introduced by the government.

Prior to the felicitation ceremony, Dr V S Acharya inaugurated ‘Bharathiya Vidya’ programme. The power class room comprise of UPS, computer and 29 inches TV.

The power class room introduced at the cost of Rs 3 lakh in association with JIL Information Technologies is the first of its kind in the government schools of the district and will be utilised to impart education through audio-visual means.

Nali Kali block

Dr Acharya also inaugurated the ‘nali-kali’ block at the school premises.

Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat, DDPI K Anand, Block Education Officer D Manjunath, Canara Bank CM P Nagaraj, CMC Members Geetha Ravi Shet, Shyam Prasad Kudva, Naveen Bhandari and others were present.
