Indiranagar is a favourite hangout for many, especially when it comes to trying out a new restaurant or cafe. Among the numerous restaurants located in the area is ‘Copper Chimney’, popular for North Indian cuisine. Though not a very new place, it is one of the most sought-after eateries there.
The interiors are carefully done to match the name of the place. However, the smell of the place as one enters can be a disappointment.
For starters, ask for the ‘Chicken soup’. The consistency is perfectly balanced and it has a nice homemade taste. While you are sipping on the hot soup, ask for a ‘Non-vegetarian platter’ which includes ‘Mutton seekh’, ‘Achari chicken’, ‘Chakori’ ‘Chicken kalimirch’, ‘Reshmi’ and ‘Malai’ kebabs.
They have a vegetarian platter as well. The quantity of the platter is sufficient and it’s quite filling. So be careful if you want to explore the menu further.
Mocktails like ‘Blue breeze’ are worth tasting. However, many might not like to have their drink extra sweet and the sweetness level can be worked upon. The menu has a wide range of options to choose from for both vegetarians and meat lovers.
For the main course, ‘Kadai paneer’ with ‘Butter roti’ and ‘naan’ is a good combination. One can also try their popular ‘Dal makhani’ with ‘Jeera rice’. And if you prefer keeping it simple, ask for ‘biryani’ as this place is well-known for it.
The ‘kulfi’ is a wise choice for dessert after a full meal. However, the dessert menu should include a few more options. The staff is cordial and well-informed about every dish on the menu.
‘Copper Chimney’ is located at 2006, Ground Floor, adjacent to Vodafone, HAL 2nd Stage, off 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar. For details, call 49653319.
