More students are graduating with doctorates from IISc than earlier and many are interested in exploring employment avenues in the industry, he said.

Apart from campus recruitments and internships, discussions between IISc and industry representatives on research collaborations, student fellowships, sponsored projects, technology transfers and philanthropic donations and endowments, have also been planned.

“By participating in this event, the R&D industry gets to see a large number of talented PhDs in diverse disciplines. Our students benefit from exploring a large number of employment avenues. Finding a suitable match should thus be readily possible,” added Dixit.
