Dayananda will continue in the post till the Dasara festival concludes on October 11. The government will finalise a replacement for Dayananda before October 11. In all probability, the officer will hand over charge on October 12,” a senior officer in the Home department told DH.<br /><br />Dayananda has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Intelligence, Bengaluru. He is replacing Soumendu Mukherjee, who has been posted to the Fire Services, Bengaluru, as Inspector General of Police and Additional Director, according to a notification issued on Thursday. <br /><br />Another IPS officer who has been given new posting is G Radhika.
