Sometimes, eating clean and exercising alone are not sufficient to lose weight and maintain an attractive figure. For those who can afford it, there are perfectly safe and efficient non-invasive procedures that can help you get rid of stubborn body fat.

People often hesitate to seek these procedures as they seem risky. But there’s no reason to worry as long as you consult with a qualified plastic surgeon. Here are a few procedures you must look into:

Cryolipolisis: This non-invasive technique uses a machine to cool fat deposits to a chilly 4° C. This freezes the cells into crystals and eventually kills them, while the overlying skin remains intact. A section of your skin is inserted into a freezing device for about an hour, resulting in the disappearance of some fat cells. Later, the dead cells are naturally eliminated from the body. Each session lasts for around an hour and results in approximately 20% fat reduction in the treated area. Unlike with diet or exercise, where the fat cells are reduced in size, with this cooling technology, once the treated fat cells are gone, they are gone for good.

Ultra sound fat cavitation: This is the latest revolution in fat removal technology that does not involve medical intervention or surgery. The scientifically developed medical Ultrasonic RF technology is based on a medical breakthrough that uses biocavitational ultrasound waves and radio frequency energy to selectively break down fat cells and cellulite without affecting neighbouring organs and cells. Immediately after treatment, your body clears away the disrupted fat cells, mainly with help from the liver.

The vibration of positive and negative alternation of sound waves produces a strong pressure on fat cell membranes, making it explode into liquid fat. This broken fat, in the form of triglycerides, is then released into the interstitial fluid between the cells, where they are enzymatically metabolised to glycerol and free fatty acids. Water soluble glycerol is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as the energy source, whereas the insoluble free fatty acids are transported to the liver and processed as fatty acids from food.

Z lipo & Z wave combination therapy: Even after successful and dramatic weight loss, one can be disappointed to be left with some areas of stubborn fat around the tummy, saddle or thighs. There are several surgical and nonsurgical techniques available to target these fat deposits. The latest is the combination of Z lipo (fat freezing) and Z wave (shock waves) therapy. With this, the fat deposits suffer a double attack, making the results promising.

Cryolipolysis has been a popular body contouring technique for some time. It is a safe, simple, non –surgical alternative to liposuction. Z wave therapy, using sound wave energy to stimulate regeneration of collagen, leads to improved skin firmness, tightness and elasticity.

Some studies have shown that combining the cooling therapy to breakdown fat, with the energy of sound waves to regenerate collagen, can make the results of body contouring, not only better but also long lasting.

Radiofrequency: This is a very versatile procedure that can be used on any area of the body – from large areas like the abdomen to very small areas such as the chin. This technique delivers energy to areas of fat with controlled heat technology. For people who are not considered overweight but have stubborn pockets of unwanted fat that are not responding to diet and exercise, radiofrequency is a good option.
