Assembly passes resolution seeking Constitution amendment

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, moving the resolution, said there was a need to accord economic powers to north Karnataka region on the lines of the facilities provided in some regions of Andhra Pradesh. All members expressed support to the resolution, which had been passed by both Houses of the legislature at least a couple of times on earlier occasions.
