Bengaluru-based crowdfunding platform FuelADream on Thursday unveiled an electric bike called RideLite.

Launching the bike, FuelADream Chief Marketing Officer P A Ram Prasad said that RideLite combines the fitness aspect of a geared cycle at an unbelievable price.

“We have brought in product innovation with a ‘Make in India’ concept to manufacture this bike along with R2H Motors. The team has been working behind the project for the last four years, and has launched two models,” said Prasad.

R2H Motors CEO and Founder Ajeet Kumar said the product is manufactured in Ghaziabad, and currently, the sales will happen via the online platform.

“You can ride an eco-friendly and zero-pollution cycle, without ever sweating again. In the pedal mode, the eRideLite comes equipped with a six-speed Shimano gear system that allows one to customise the workout,” he said.

Kumar said the RideLite electric bike comes in two variants. “The eRL50 has a 50-km range on a single charge, and starts at Rs 23,900. The eRL90 has a 90-km range on a single charge and starts at Rs 35,900. This bike goes from 0-20 kmph in just 10 seconds,” he said.

The company’s CEO said the crowdfunding model ensures a win-win situation for manufacturer and the consumer. “It reduces working capital and inventory costs to almost zero. The huge cost savings can be passed onto our consumers,” he said.
