“You had sent a file to Kumaraswamy asking him to grant licence to five distilleries. Disclose the names,” he challenged the CM.  The question went unanswered by Yeddyurappa. Even Revanna did not disclose the names of the five distilleries.

Last week, the chief minister in the Legislative Council had indirectly taken a dig at the Gowda clan by saying that files used to get cleared by one particular person when the JD(S)-BJP combine was in power.

Never interfered

Revanna, countering the charges of the chief minister in the Legislative Council said, “As a minister I never interfered in other departments. If someone can disprove this, I am ready to resign as a legislator.

But it is a fact that I had sanctioned 1,500 schools and 186 degree colleges, besides 500 Pre-University colleges in the State. My intention was to provide education to the poor.” Revanna also challenged the chief minister to order any kind of probe against him to find whether he had indulged in any irregularities as minister.
