Women's panel seeks report

The Karnataka State Commission for Women has taken suo motu notice of the Kammanahalli molestation based on media reports, its chairperson Nagalakshmi Bai told reporters on Wednesday.

The commission has written to the DCP (East) and sought report on the action taken. “The commission takes this incident very seriously. I have urged the police to take strict action against people indulging in such behaviour. I have opened a suo motu case. There needs to a concerted effort to make the city safe for women,” she added.
