DCB Bank reports net of Rs 51 cr, up 25%

 Private sector lender DCB Bank has reported a net profit of Rs 51 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2016, up 25%, from Rs 41 crore in the corresponding quarter  of last year.

Profit before tax of the company stood at Rs 79 crore during the quarter, an increase of 24%, against Rs 63 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year. The net interest income of the bank saw an increase of 31%, to Rs 209 crore, against Rs 160 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, while the non-interest income jumped by 36% to Rs 64 crore, from Rs 47 crore.

Gross NPA ratio of the bank decreased to 1.55% as on December 31, 2016, from 1.98% as on December 31, 2015, while net NPA ratio decreased to 0.74% as on December 31, 2016, from 1.12% as on December 31, 2015.

Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) was at 13.33% as on December 31, 2016, with tier I at 11.39%, and tier II at 1.94% as per Basel III norms.
