Umpire C Shamshuddin, who has been in the news over the last couple of days for all the wrong reasons, decided to stand down from the third and final T20I here on Wednesday.

Shamshuddin, who wrongly adjudged Joe Root leg-before wicket in the final over that angered English skipper Eoin Morgan, reportedly said he was not feeling 100 percent fit. Shamshuddin was handed the TV umpire duties while Nitin Menon replaced him as one of the on-field umpires.

Anil Chaudhary was the other umpire on-field with Anil Dandekar being the reserve umpire.
Ever since the Root howler, both Morgan and Root, who addressed the media on Tuesday, have been vocal about their displeasure against Shamshuddin. Morgan even went on to say that they may lodge a complaint with match referee Andy Pycroft before going on to talk about the need for having DRS in T20Is.

Root too wasn't happy with Shamshuddin but was non-committal on whether they would lodge an official complaint.
