Fighter jets zoomed across the sky in perfect formation during rehearsals at the Yelahanka Air Force Station for the upcoming Aero India 2017, to be held from February 14 to 18.

Aircraft from different parts of the world and India could be seen at the base, waiting to enthral the crowds who will attend the show starting from Tuesday. Seventy-two aircraft will take part in the 11th edition of the biennial aerospace and defence exhibition.

The annual attraction, Rhode Island Air National Guard (RI ANG) team of the US, with its gigantic aircraft is already at the base.

Fighter aircraft manufacturers like Lockheed Martin, SAAB, Dassault Aviation, BAe and others were setting up stalls where they will showcase their products. This year, 270 Indian companies and 279 foreign ones will take part in the expo.

Residents of the area watched in awe as planes of the Indian Air Force (IAF) aerobatics display team `Suryakiran', zipped back and forth. Surya Kiran will perform horizontal and vertical manoeuvres on the newly inducted British Hawks. Performances by UK’s aerobatics team Evolvkos and Sweden's Scandinavian Airshow team will enthral aviation enthusiasts.
